Day Six

Tuesday 22nd January 2019 - Last night Mummy tried to get Thomas to sleep in his moses basket but he just wouldn't settle. He wanted to be all warm and cosy next to Mummy and so, with Mummy exhausted and in need of sleep, he ended up in the bed
Obviously he slept soundly as soon as it was time for everyone to get up. Mummy decided she should try to get some more sleep too before another busy day began
Clara cycled to school with Daddy and Daddy came back for Ira who was ready with his cat to scoot to preschool
Grandma Kay came and then Mummy and Daddy had to take Thomas up to the GP surgery to see the midwife to get weighed and have his heel prick test. He weighed 3.35kg - just under his birth weight which the midwife said was very good. And he hardly cried when the midwife did the heel prick test. In fact, he was fast asleep again in no time
They went back home and Aunt Veronica, Uncle Rob and Luna came to visit
Naturally everyone wanted a baby cuddle
Ira and Luna and cat played together in the play room
Clara came home from school and said she'd had a good day. She had her usual after school cuddle
And when Grandad came back from lunch with some friends in Kings cross, they read magazines together
Grandma and Thomas had cuddles on the sofa together
And everyone relaxed and watched tv until it was time for Grandma and Grandad to head home.
Just before they did, it unexpectedly started snowing!
Clara and Ira went to play in the garden - on the snow trampoline!!
Mummy and Thomas stayed in the warm on the sofa.
When Clara and Ira came in, they were so cold, Daddy decided they should go straight upstairs for a bath to get warm before getting changed in their pyjamas
Mummy tried to have a bath too but baby Thomas wouldn't settle so Clara and Ira came to entertain him
Baby Thomas wasn't sure about all the excitement so Mummy got out and decided it was time for everyone to go to bed
