Saturday 15th June 2019 - This morning Ira played in the Acorn Ward's play room and Grandad sent this photo of him smiling to Mummy, who wished she was there already...
Clara made a get well soon card for Ira - grandma is the small one sitting in a chair!!
She wrote this very sweet message inside
Meanwhile, Mummy, Daddy and Thomas were racing back from Rotterdam as quickly as possible
And Grandma took Clara to her ballet dress rehearsal
When Mummy and Daddy arrived at the hospital, Ira showed them his cast and they gave him a big cuddle
Clara was back by then and so happy to see her baby brother
Ira went for surgery under general anaesthetic and Mummy and Daddy went with him. The surgeons were putting the bone in his arm back in place and fixing it with some wire. He came back and had a little sleep, before waking up and demanding sweets!
Ira spent a while resting in bed with his iPad and his brother and sister joined him
Daddy took Clara for something to eat in the hospital canteen
And before long Ira was back to himself, chasing a balloon around the ward and making a video for his friend Teddy
Mummy went home with Clara and Thomas and Daddy stayed the night in hospital with Ira so they nurses and doctors could check he was ok before going home
