Saturday 31st August 2019 - Today was the day of Clara's Harry Potter Birthday party - the day she had been waiting for
Ira too - they were so excited
Mummy had made and decorated a Hedwig chocolate cake
Ferrero roche golden snitches
Bottles of butterbeer
And jellybeans for their party bags
Mummy went really early into the forest to put up Clara's Harry Potter Happy Birthday banner
And some of the posters in the woods
Like Beware of the Whomping Willow!

And copies of the Daily Prophet
They met on Platform 9 3/4 and Mummy gave them all a ticket for the Hogwarts Express
Clara was dressed as Hermione of course - complete with her new school satchel and Crookshanks the cat
They all boarded the Hogwarts Express in good time
And Mummy gave them a chocolate bar - in case of dementor attack
Of course Ira came dressed AS a dementor!!
They all walked from the station at the other end, looking for clues as they went
Deep into the forbidden forest where they had to follow wooden boulders to the clearing
Clara was so excited to see her school friends
Every so often they would stop and read a poster and then carry on their way
Until they finally arrived
And all sat down to listen to what they would be doing
They started with the sorting hat, which whispered to them which house they would be in - Gryffindor of course
They did potion making
By mixing substances together which exploded and went FIZZ!
They made and flew on broomsticks
Learnt how to light a fire - LUMOS!
And toasted Marshmallows on the fire
Juni came along with Robin and her Mummy and Daddy, even though they had only just got back from Australia
Thomas had a lick of Clara's marshmallow and obviously really enjoyed it
Cousin James looked very much like Harry Potter
Thomas and Luna got to know each other a bit better by grabbing faces
Everyone had a brilliant time and went home happy with party bags and cake
